Cantina Toblino Pinot Nero
About the Producer:
Cantina Toblino was founded in 1960 to enhance the grapes conferred by the winemakers of the Valle dei Laghi. Cantina Toblino receives the grapes from more than 600 winegrowers for a total of over 850 hectares of vineyards. Their history continues and it is renewed every day. What does not change, however, is the constant search for precision and quality both in the management of the vineyards and in the process of vinification and aging in the cellar. Today as in the past, the secret of their success lies in the harmony between their members-winegrowers and its vineyards. Cantina Toblino also practices organic viticulture, which means supporting the natural processes that regulate the balance within the ecosystem.
About the Wine:
The successful combination of the soils at the base of the slopes and the favorable microclimate in the Valle dei Laghi surrounding Az Agr Toblino Bio Certified, contribute to produce the perfect grapes for a fine and elegant Pinot Nero. After crushing-destemming, maceration and fermentation takes place in contact with the skins for over 7 days at a controlled temperature. The wine is then aged in oak barriques and tonneaux for over 12 months followed by a brief refinement in the bottle.
Organoleptic Notes:
Delicate ruby red color. Fragrant aromas of red fruits, reminiscent of strawberry and raspberry, surrounded by pleasant spice notes. Harmonious and velvety with an elegant structure and a soft but persistent finish.
Pairing: Sophisticated dishes based around white meats, poultry and mature cheeses. Its finesse and the low tannins make the wine excellent for fish stews or soups.
Notes: Pinot Noir, a delicate red grape variety originally from Burgundy, which requires great attention to detail both in the vineyard and in the cellar for its elegant finesse.
