About the Producer:
Le Caniette is a winery located in the Marche region of central Italy. The winery was founded in the 1960s by Raffaele Vagnoni, who was passionate about producing high-quality wines that reflected the unique terroir of the Marche region. Le Caniette is a locally admired company that is earning worldwide consensus. The estate has over 20 hectares, and unique elements to its vineyard, such as the Mediterranean microclimate, balanced by the closeness to the Balkans, and sandy soil with Early Pleistocene clastic rocks. They follow the principles of organic farming, to provide their customers with natural products, as certified on every bottle.
About the Wine:
Vines are grown on sandy soil with limestone presence at 280m altitude. 5000 pruned-spur cordon-trained vines. Wine making starts with 8 days macerations in wooden vats. Aging and malolactic fermentation in little oak barrels for 30 months and at least 6 months of aging in bottles.
Organoleptic Notes:
Ruby red. Bouquet of red fruits with hints of spices. The taste is intense, persistent, rightly tannic, with clear olfactory references.
Pairing: Dishes with intense aromas, processed,with good structure meditation.
